The GBI arrested Channen Brown, 17, and charged him with felony murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. On Monday, a second shooting incident in Fitzgerald prompted a lockdown at Ben Hill County schools. Early reports indicated that two people were injured in the Monday incident. As a precaution, schools in both Ben Hill County and neighboring Irwin County provided counseling services to students affected by the recent violence.
